    Membership Types

    AIS offers several different types of memberships that are designed to fit your unique needs:

    Members

    Academic --faculty who have received their doctoral (or terminal) degree and are employed by a college or university
    Student --PhD or Master's degree candidates who are currently enrolled in a college or university
    Retired --faculty who are no longer actively working at a college or university
    Professional-- practitioners who work within the IS or IT field(s)

    eLibrary Subscribers

    Individual Subscription --provides individuals one year of access to the AIS eLibrary, including the exclusive AIS journals JAIS and CAIS
    Institutional Subscription --provides institutions one year of access to the AIS eLibrary, including JAIS and CAIS



     

    Membership Rates

    Individual Membership Rates
    AIS membership rates are determined based on an individual or organization's income classification under the World Bank. Please click here to locate your current membership rate. 

    Please note: Discounted rates apply only to individuals and institutions permanently residing in countries on the "high income" list of the World Bank. Students studying in countries on the "high income" list are not eligible for the discount. Faculty working in countries on the "high income" list are not eligible for the discount.

    Group Institutional Membership Rates
    AIS offers deeply discounted group membership rates to universities that include 5 academic memberships to AIS, one complimentary conference registration, 5 print subscriptions to MIS Quarterly, one Institutional Subscription to the AIS eLibrary, complimentary Placement registration, as well as numerous other benefits. Institutions that take advantage of this special offer can choose to enroll as either Insitutional Members or joint AIS/SIM Institutional Members, which offers additional discounts and membership in both AIS and SIM.

    Institutional Membership: $1,750  ($750 for instittuions in non-rich countries)
    Joint AIS/SIM Institutional Membership: $3,000

    Membership Year

    AIS membership is based on a rolling schedule. Your renewal payment will be due exactly one year from the date you join/renew your membership. (1/1/2009 join > 1/1/2010 renewal date)
