Membership Types

Individual Memberships   
Individual Membership benefits
Academic --Faculty who have received their doctoral (or terminal) degree and are employed by a college or university.
Student -- A full-time, doctoral degree seeking students who are enrolled at a university and not concurrently serving
as a faculty member at the same (or any) institution of higher education. Student Memberships are limited to six consecutive years.
Retired --Faculty who are no longer actively working at a college or university.
Professional-- Practitioners who work within the IS or IT field(s).

AIS Institutional Member - A money saving package for Universities with multiple AIS members on faculty.
AIS-SIM Joint Institutional Member -  Additional benefits and reduced rates for Universities with faculty members who wish to belong to both AIS and SIM.
AIS-ANIEI Institutional Member (Mexico only) - Reduced rates for Universities with Faculty who wish to belong to both ANIEI and AIS.

eLibrary Subscriptons
Individual Subscription --Provides individuals one year of access to the AIS eLibrary.
Institutional Subscription --Provides institutions one year of access to the AIS eLibrary.

Membership Rates

Individual Membership Rates
Individual AIS membership rates are based on the development classification of the country where the member works and lives. 
(United Nation's Human Development Index or HDI).  CLICK HERE to locate your current membership rate.

Institutional Membership Rates
Institutional Membership: $1,750 
Joint AIS/SIM Institutional Membership: $3,000
Joint AIS/ANIEI: $1,500


eLibrary Subscription Rates
Individual Subscription: $45 per term
Institutional Subscription: $995 per term


Membership Term

An AIS membership and subscription term extends one year from the start date (payment date) of the membership. For example, a membership started on April 1, 2010 will have a renewal date of March 31, 2011.  There is 60 day grace period for renewals.   After 60 days the membership is considered expired and the member will no longer have access to AIS member benefits.

Code of Research Conduct

All members of AIS are expected to abide by the Code of Research Conduct.
